The holidays are just around the corner and I am looking forward to continuing what has become a bit of a tradition, featuring an Oakville North-Burlington student’s artwork on the cover of my Christmas card!
The contest is open to all grades 3 to grade 6 students who reside in Oakville-North Burlington. It would be wonderful if you could share the details of this contest with your fellow teachers, students or even children of your own!
The theme of the card this year is “Canada 150”, meaning the artwork should depict a holiday scene relating to or celebrating this special anniversary, as well as what Canada as a whole means for our young students .
Original entries must be submitted in the form of a drawing, sketch or painting and meet the following requirements:
- Minimum size of original artwork – 4” x 6”.
- Maximum size of original artwork – 8.5” x 11”.
- Acceptable materials include paper or canvas – DO NOT FOLD.
Each entry must be accompanied by this Holiday Card Entry Form. Entry forms must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian of the artist.
Finished artwork, accompanied with the signed entry forms, can be dropped off at my office located at 2525 Old Bronte Road, Suite 590 Mondays 1-7pm, or Tuesday – Friday 10:30-4:30pm or picked up by one of my staff members.
Submission Deadline: Friday, October 27th, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
Please contact us if you would like to arrange for our staff to pick up your students submissions or if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing all of your artwork!
